stuck of ideas on how to add interest to your scrapbook pages, sometimes a simple emphasisim or an enhancement to the photographs can make a big difference to the overall look.

1. Use sandpaper to distress your pages to give it a different look. be careful not to rub too hard and rip the paper.

Journal your photographs but keep it simple, you can use bullet points or the "WWWWH" method - who, what, where, when and how. Using your own handwriting rather than computer printouts will make it even more personalised. I know when i see my mums handwriting how similar it is to my own and generations to come may see similarities as well.

2. Make your pages interactive, include envelopes and pockets and insert journaling notes or memorabilia. this will make those going through your scrapbook curious as to what has been hidden away.

3. if you are creating a large scrapbook you can have mini scrapbooks within the scrapbook which fold out to show extra photos, journaling notes or memorabilia

4. For those extra special photos try double or even triple matting, match the mat colour to the photograph. You can also mat stickers and other embellishments.

5. Try paper tearing to add a softer edge to your cardstock and texture to your scapbooking pages. How much you tear is up to you, you can tear just one edge or completely around the mat or frame, or you could mount a sticker to card and tear around the edges.

6. Ribbons can be used as borders around photos or anything that you want to frame

7. tags are very versatile and can be used for page titles or your could mount photos and journaling blocks onto them.

8. use rubber stamps to create your own unique page, you can match the stamp to the theme of the scrapbook or the particular page that you are creating.

10. use embelleshments to add fun to your pages there are many many things you can add.

Keep your pages simple and remember that although you want to add interesting enhancements you don't want you page to become too cluttered and the main theme of the page lost in all of the extras that have been added
